Dungeons and Dames is a 3-day, 2-night femme only retreat in New England crafted for adventurers of all experience levels. Step into a magical world where you'll play you're own heroine in a thrilling immersive story with beautiful one-shot D&D campaigns, enchanted meals catered by a private chef and time relaxing in a cozy, fantasy-inspired setting. Whether you're a seasoned Dungeon Master or a curious newbie, this retreat is your invitation to laugh, roleplay, and roll dice with a legendary party of fellow dames.

The Story…

At the heart of Dungeons & Dames lies the legend of Nyara, the Lost Lotus—a powerful sorceress whose legacy was fractured by a sacrifice. Now, strange omens stir the realm of Ardenmere, and those drawn to its call find themselves swept into the unraveling of a long-buried truth. Across the weekend, each guest will take on two immersive one-shot quests—side stories that hold pieces of the larger mystery. As paths intertwine and secrets surface, the fate of Nyara—and of the realm—may rest in your hands.

The Gameplay

The story spans Friday evening to Sunday morning—a full, immersive experience designed to feel like a complete campaign arc.

🎭 Friday night kicks off with an in-character tavern dinner and story prologue. Meet your fellow adventurers, sign up for your one-shots, and get drawn into the world.

🎲 Saturday is game day—you’ll play in TWO epic 4-hour one-shots, written just for this retreat and run by our incredible DMs. That’s 8 hours of immersive TTRPG gameplay, plus bonus story moments, roleplay, and connection.

🌅 Sunday morning wraps things up with a cozy, heartfelt epilogue as we close out the tale.

Characters should be level 5 and rules are based off of Dungeons and Dragons 5e 2014

Hi, I’m Hilary—event planner, professional corporate trainer, and lifelong Dungeons & Dragons enthusiast. With a background in corporate education and a deep love for storytelling, I created Dungeons and Dames to bring women and gender magical adventurers together for unforgettable, immersive experiences. Every detail is designed to celebrate camaraderie, creativity, and the joy of rolling dice in good company.

My name is Kayla (she/her) and I am a DM with a lot of imagination and ADHD! I love creating fun moments with strangers that can make us laugh, cry, or maybe all be excited that the barbarian was able to decapitate the villain! In my one shots, I will be sure to incorporate some of my favorite parts of playing longer campaigns as well. Such as looting, snooping, and lots of treasures to help you out! Or if you roll a natural one.. maybe something NOT so helpful. I can’t wait to meet you all and enjoy the magic of Dungeons of Dames. Let’s roll initiative

Jen is a Richmond, Virginia based DM with experience DMing for tables to introduce her friends, family, and beyond to the world of Dungeons and Dragons and tabletop roleplaying games as a hobby, fostering spaces where it is safe for women and queer folk to feel welcome and explore their identities at an inclusive and receptive table, regardless of experience or knowledge of rules. She likes to write quests and storylines with themes ranging from romance and unrequited love to political intrigue, and of course epic adventures of swords and sorcery featuring badass lady folk.
