What is Dungeons and Dames?
Dungeons and Dames is a women-centered Dungeons & Dragons retreat hosted by Hello Darling Events and Productions. It’s a weekend of immersive one-shot adventures, themed meals, creative workshops, and community-building in a luxurious, castle-like setting.

Who can attend this event?
This retreat is open to all women and those who are comfortable in a space centered around sisterhood and women’s experiences—including trans women and non-binary individuals.

How do i get there?
You can get to the location via car or plane. If you are flying we ask that you land at Portland International Jetport (PWM). While it is not the closest it is most likely the least inexpensive for you. If you fly into Portland, we are working on a group transportation service to bring you to and from the event (the cost will be split between the passengers [likely ~$400 split between everyone flying in.]) Check out our how to get there page for more information.

Do I need to know how to play D&D?
Not at all! We welcome all experience levels. Whether you're a first-time adventurer or a seasoned DM, our one-shots are designed to be fun and accessible. Pre-generated characters are available and supportive storytellers will guide you through the action.

Will I need to bring my own dice or materials?
Nope! Everything you need for gameplay will be provided, including custom dice sets and character sheets. You’re welcome to bring your own lucky dice if you'd like!

What’s included in the ticket price?
Your ticket covers lodging, all meals, snacks, game materials, workshops, gifts, and access to all retreat activities.

What if I have dietary restrictions or accessibility needs?
We’re happy to accommodate! Please let us know during registration about any dietary needs, allergies, or accessibility requirements so we can prepare accordingly.

What’s your cancellation policy?
You can view our full cancellation and refund policy here. In general, we offer partial refunds based on how close to the event date you cancel. You’re also welcome to transfer your spot to another qualified attendee.

Why is the retreat so expensive?
We get it—this isn’t your average weekend getaway. Your ticket price covers luxury lodging, all meals and snacks, custom game materials, curated workshops, themed gifts, professional Dungeon Masters, and a truly immersive experience. We also pay fair wages to our staff and creators, support small women-owned businesses, and aim to provide a magical, all-inclusive environment where everything is thoughtfully taken care of—so you can just show up and enjoy the adventure.
